Job Description

L3 Link Training & Simulation is searching for a High-Performance Computing engineer for developing and managing Cluster processing, SAN, NAS, Hypervisor, and Networking technologies.

The High-Performance Computing engineer will assist in the architecture, design and support of computational platforms within the engineering organization. Development environments consist of XenServer 6x, XenApp/Desktop 7.x with GRID vGPU/pGPU, RHEL/Centos 6, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2. Responsibilities will also include development and support of a Condor High-Performance Computing (HPC) Infrastructure (ZFS Unified Storage, RDMA InfiniBand Fabric, Processing Nodes, and Imagery/Geospatial Applications). Candidate should be self-motivated and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with teams to diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Candidate should possess in depth knowledge of diagnostics tools for infrastructure performance analysis.

Responsibilities

* Support ZFS based SAN and NAS storage
* Support Lustre based file system
* Support Virtual Infrastructure Platforms (XenServer, VMware, Azure)
* Support Windows/Linux OS�s in Engineering Development Environments and HPC Environment
* Develop cold start/cold boot procedures for system deployment
* Develop and support distributed High Performance Computing environments
* Identify potential risks and issues, make and implement recommendations to management when escalation is required
* Define and maintain systems process documentation
* Identify Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on system performance issues
