Since Visible Alpha's commercial launch in February 2017, the company has been helping investment firms of all sizes and geographies discover ideas through its deep consensus platform and track and value research for MiFID II compliance. Visible Alpha creates a unified consumption and collaboration experience across research reports, analyst models and corporate access events and enables clients to discover, track, budget, value and pay for research content. RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage multiple projects and allocate design resources accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met and setting up team members for success by setting clear and measurable goals.
* Guide the team to develop best practices for ensuring a high bar of quality.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, user research and communication design to ensure a smooth product development process and consistent visual language.
* Recruit new designers and actively participate in the hiring process.
* Actively contribute as a designer when needed, with a strong emphasis on information design and data visualization.
* Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment.
* Collaborate with teams in other Visible Alpha offices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum 5 years of industry experience in a management or leadership role leading teams in software design.
* 10+ years of design experience shipping software products.
* Successful design portfolio with examples of interactions and visuals across web applications (not just static websites).
* Experience in high-level product strategy all the way to production.
* Communication skills and attention to detail; ability to clearly articulate both design decisions/rationale to a variety of audiences and how those design decisions will directly impact the success of the business/client
* Visual and interaction skills in software design.
* Demonstrated experience with user research and working with analytics, a/b testing, etc.
* Organizational and analytical skills.
* Ability to execute with hands-on design.
