Hadoop and Spark Administrator, Senior

The Challenge:

As the Hadoop and Spark administrator you will be maintain responsibility for developing a high-performance data analytics platform to handle petabytes of datasets. Design, develop and implement data loading solutions into Hadoop using various native and custom API connectors.

As a Hadoop and Spark Administrator you will serve as primary liaison to OIT for the cluster architecture aspects of the project. Manage Hadoop and Spark cluster environments - Cluster sizing, cluster configuration, smoke testing, service allocation, security setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring. Contribute to planning and implementation of hardware and software upgrades. Work with Operations on monitoring and troubleshooting of incidents to maintain service levels.

You Have:

* 10+ years of experience with information systems
* 3+ years of experience with enterprise and Hadoop and Spark
* Experience in architecting with DevOps tools and process
* Experience with Agile, Scrum, and continuous delivery
* Experience with public Cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services architecture, tools, and Cloud methodologies
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree in CS or Engineering
