RMC is hiring for an immediate position of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Designer/Web Developer to support our Naval Surface Warfare Command (NSWC) Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technical Division in Indian Head, MD (Stump Neck). This is a full time position.

The selected candidate will:

* Communicate daily with customers, content owners and the software/web development teams (requires interaction with both Government civilian and military employees and other support contractors)
* Create, manage, and maintain user interface behavior specifications and supporting documentation for software applications/web portals
* Apply a solid understanding of software/web design and content management best practices; assess levels of effort to support changes to software applications/web portal products
* Apply design principles and methodologies to identify, design for, and manage usability of software/web applications
* Design and write code to support existing software applications/web portals
* Proofread, edit and develop content for software applications/web portals in both classified and unclassified environments
* Support project milestone development, management and reporting
* Utilize various systems to track, validate and maintain software application/ web portal content and documentation
* Perform regular reviews of the software applications/web portals to ensure accuracy, timeliness and relevance
* Work with the web/software development teams to troubleshoot and remediate issues in the development, test and production environments for software applications/web portals
* Create, manage and maintain related Computer Based Training (CBT) materials utilizing Adobe and Microsoft applications
* Manage the impact of shifting priorities and resolve technical emergencies as required
* Ensure that all software/web products are maintained in compliance of governing policies and processes
* Support working in a fast-paced, deadline oriented Agile development environment

The candidate may also be required to:

* Investigate alternatives and technologies to improve graphics and other relevant processes or products
* Assist in the analysis of change requests impacting the software applications/web portals and the development of effective solutions
* Perform component and full regression testing of software applications/web portals in both classified and unclassified environments
* Support other program design team activities (audio/video, graphics, templates, mock-ups, etc.)

A High School Diploma/GED is required. A Bachelor's degree in web development, information technology, computer science or related field is highly desired. The selected candidate must satisfy DoD 8570 IAWF requirements by obtaining the Security+ certification within 90 days of hire. The selected candidate must have experience with Adobe Create Suite, web programming using HTML/CSS, and developing, maintaining and managing content for multiple site/portals. The selected candidates must also have excelled verbal and written communication skills, and strong problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting, and negotiating skills.

Experience with Section 508 Web Accessibility standards and Human Systems Integration (HIS) is desired, but not required.

Security Clearance: An active DoD clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
