Job Description

SAIC is seeking a motivated and experienced senior cybersecurity engineer to join our team of diverse Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) experts in El Segundo, CA. The GPS SE&I Team provides engineering, integration, technical analysis and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the GP Directorate. As a senior member of our cybersecurity engineering team, you'll work in a high-paced environment with Air Force personnel and system developers to ensure GPS remains the gold standard for position, navigation and timing.

Duties:

* Support the GPS Enterprise in defining, capturing, and maintaining the cybersecurity engineering technical, schedule, and cost risk data throughout the system lifecycle as well as developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing risk impacts and proposed changes
* Support enterprise and system-level cybersecurity engineering and integration functions required to successfully deliver GPS capabilities and services
* Ensure effective cybersecurity engineering requirements integration across space, control (ground), and user segments; hardware and software; and all other aspects of systems and organizations within the GPS Enterprise
* Ensure the application of appropriate cybersecurity engineering principles to meet technical requirements and trace requirements to system and test specifications
* Apply advanced cybersecurity knowledge to interpret and advise on systems engineering specifications, requirements, and technical data
* Provide advanced cybersecurity engineering support to all acquisition lifecycle stages from concept development and contract pre-acquisition through contractor design and acceptance
* Attend Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) as the senior cybersecurity engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of Integrated Product Team (IPT) efforts
* Write and deliver high-quality cybersecurity engineering documentation suitable for distribution to SE&I technical staff/management and customer decision-makers
* Plan and conduct compliance and penetration tests following DoD, AF, and DISA guidance
* Develop scripts or programs that support the automation of manual cyber testing processes
* Current TS/SCI clearance
* Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
* 10 - 15 years cybersecurity experience, including acquisition, systems engineering processes, design, development, integration, verification & validation for DOD or AF systems
* 14 years' experience providing cybersecurity technical engineering, testing and/or network design support
* Demonstrated ability to act as advisor and communicate recommendations orally and in writing to government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors
* Demonstrated capability and success leading and working in team environments
