We actively seek a Functional Analyst, Dynamics AX resident to join our in-house IT department in our Pleasanton, CA office.

Position Summary

The Functional Analyst, Dynamics AX at Rimini Street, will act as subject matter expertise and responsible for functional and technical aspect of Dynamics AX. This position will play a key role in analysis, design, develop solutions using best practices to implement and improve business processes, as well as troubleshoot and support daily operations in Dynamics AX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Analyze, scope, architect, and deliver integrated, scalable ERP solutions mainly based out of Dynamics AX.
* Identify, understand, and define business requirements to provide effective solutions.
* Design and document functional requirements, workflow, and system specifications.
* Implement, setup, configure financials modules in AX.
* Work closely with business stakeholder, end users across multiple functional areas, understand business processes, map and configure the requirements in AX.
* Analyze the existing systems and identify the areas of improvement.
* Track the business reuqests, maintain the enhancements roadmap and ensure timely delivery of the same.
* Participate in upgrade / re-implementation of the existing ERP.
* Track, manage and resolve issues reported in Production system, and help with administrative needs of users
* Design interfaces to integrate various external systems with AX.
* Experienced in full life cycle implementation, upgrade, and applications support of Dynamics AX.
* Experienced in AX financials modules such as Contracts, Accounts payables, Receivables, GL, Fixed Assets, Projects, Bank, etc.
* Ability to communicate the designed solution to the technical team and test the same with end users.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

* Work cross-functionally to maintain and improve other key business applications such as Qlik, Management reporter, Adaptive planning, ADP, Concur, ReadSoft
* Ability to collaborate in a team environment, while also working independently.
* Document, maintain and follow SOX Audit control processes such as change management, program development in IT business areas.
* Ability to work with global teams.

Education

* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivelant experience



Experience

* 5 - 7 Years of experience with Dynamics AX implementation, upgrade and application support
* 5 - 7 Years experience in supporting Financial modules in ERP Applications

Skills

* Working Knowledge in Record to Report, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash business processes
* Excellent business acumen combined with strong communication, consultative, and project management skills
* Knowledge of other ERP systems such as Workday Financials is a plus
* Expereince in Dynamics AX 2012, Dynamics 365 is a big plus
* Working knowledge Microsoft technologies including X++, C#, ASP,.NET and SQL server
* Knowledge of accounting, ASC 606, finance best practices a plus
* Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
* Strong creative problem solving and documentation skills
