Frontend Engineering Manager

Carta is growing our engineering team, and looking for a Frontend Technical Lead to manage our Platform Design team

In this role you will partner closely with our design and infrastructure teams as a leader in implementing a wholistic design strategy for Carta's products.

Responsibilities:

* Be the technical lead a team of frontend engineers with a range of experience
* Use existing internal APIs and help develop new APIs to interact with the Carta back end services
* Work closely with our full stack and backend engineers during feature development
* Work closely with designers and product managers to help design front end products
* Mentor existing engineers best practices using modern JavaScript
* Oversee the frontend architecture standards for the entire company
* Build reusable React components for use in your projects as well as company-wide projects
* Build testing infrastructure to test front end code and React components

Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience working with React
* 5+ years of experience working with frontend development (Vuejs/Angular Js/Ember/Knockout/Backbone)
* Experience leading technical teams
* Hands on experience architecting and designing design systems
* Software Architecture Principles mindset (Patterns to build Enterprise applications)
* Experience building things from the ground up or working with the team from the beginning
* The "reusability" mindset (building components to speed up development and prototyping)
* Permission management on frontend
* An ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally

* Python/Django
* Experience working with B2B companies
