We are looking for an enthusiastic front-end web application user interface developer who wants to improve their technical skills and join a professional team that is building a new web application that will transform the way scientists use our products and make new scientific discoveries. Our products are used by our customers to create new cancer therapeutics, gene therapies, and diabetes diagnostics and treatments.

We offer a startup project and team culture, building a new product from the ground up using the latest technologies following the latest best practices, but in a stable company with good work life balance. You will be working with user experience and user interface designers, as well as backend engineers, to create responsive and good-looking web front ends. We are looking for someone who likes to focus on the small details that make an application perfect, but understands the big picture.

Responsibilities

* Develop new user-facing features.
* Translate user interface and user experience designs into dynamic visual elements.
* Work with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of user interface designs.
* Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
* Work with back-end and infrastructure engineers to design and build a complete web application solution.
* Produce highly maintainable, extensible and testable code.
* Deliver fully validated and tested code, including unit tests where applicable.
* Test new functionality through unit tests and UI automation frameworks.
* Review peers' work and contribute to overall team design discussions.

Qualifications

* 1+ years of experience in web application development.
* Good understanding of CSS3, HTML5, including knowledge of current best practices.
* Proficient understanding of CSS preprocessor, especially Sass.
* Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
* Proficient knowledge of JavaScript ES6.
* Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
* Experience building applications that consume RESTful APIs.
* Experience with build tools such like yarn, npm, webpack and babel or similar tools.
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools including Git.
* Understands the principles and benefits of automated testing platforms and unit tests.
* Experience with React, Redux and Immutable.
* Experience with CI/CD environments.
