Job Description

Overview

Join Capstone as a Front-End Web Developer, designing and maintaining solutions for applications supporting the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations and selected components of the Secretary of the Navy. This position will utilize front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, & JavaScript), as well as creative skills to customize clients SharePoint applications and support the content management of those sites. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a passion for growing their technical skill sets.

The project is located on-site in Arlington, VA at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities

* Develops and enhances application capabilities and functionality to include improved UI design, reporting, and new visual display capabilities.
* Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders and staff offices to identify and accept requirements for updates and enhancements.
* Collaborates with development team on a daily basis using Agile practices to align solutions for consistency and use of best practices.
* Collaborates with OPNAV CIO Directorates to maintain business operations workflow and ensure that the design is compliant with federal IT standards.
* Manages roles, groups, and permissions of the users and communities/Directorates for the OPNAV CIO.
* Updates, troubleshoots, and maintains Directorate for Operational SharePoint Sites and provides technical support for users and content managers.
* Collects and manages feedback from users for future enhancements or improvements.
* Develops and maintains technical documentation for end-users and future technical administrators to ensure continuity of operations and the use of best practices.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum education and experience:

* Bachelor's degree.
* Two (2) years' experience in an IT related field.

Minimum qualification:

* Strong experience using HTML and CSS.
* Beginner level experience with JavaScript.
* Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
* Interpersonal skills required in order to interact effectively with staff and all levels of management in identifying and resolving issues and dealing with sensitive problems and situation.

Required Certification:

* Requirement is an 8570 IAT Level I certification (e.g. A+CE, Network+CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security), or higher.

Minimum clearance:

* Final DoD Secret clearance.
