Job Description

Description:Technical services in support of the Integrated Common Processor (ICP) component of the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS). Support Technician will be responsible for the introduction, installation and testing of the latest surveillance technology for the US Navy.

Tasks shall include hardware standup of various ICP systems. Standup/installation responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1.) Physical standup of equipment and storage racks including installation of system cabling (both Fiber Optic and Copper) 2.) Server and network switch configuration IAW approved engineering procedures 3.) Software installation of various ICP systems 4.) Troubleshooting issues encountered during the course of installations 5.) Development and execution of hardware and software test documentation. 6.) Development and validation of various logistic support products including Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM). Installation work requires personnel to be on travel 25% of the time in support of installations at various shipboard and shore facilities. Applicant must hold a valid DOD Secret Clearance prior to starting.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of three years of experience with U.S. Navy Acoustic and/or Combat systems. A working knowledge of electrical and electronic test equipment, computer networks, and the Linux operating system via the Command Line Interface (CLI) required. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).

Desired Skills:

The ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior U. S. Navy experience in an electronics field preferred.
