Field Service Representative/Systems Administrator

Key Role:

Work as part of a dynamic project team supporting the national capital region's integrated air defense system. Assist with the operation, administration, and maintenance of local and wide area network system using multiple commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware platforms and operating systems, including Windows, Cisco, and Linux. Isolate system faults and recommend and initiate actions to correct and resolve interoperability problems to maintain operations across all platforms. Install and upgrade network infrastructure, electronics equipment, servers, network devices, sensors, operating systems, software applications, and patching. Monitor and analyze system logs, perform troubleshooting, as needed, and participate in evaluating vendor specifications and securing quotations for hardware and software purchases. Assist with managing property inventory, including software, hardware purchases, and licenses and author documents. Interface and communicate with teammates and the military client in a high visibility, fast-paced operational environment closely and effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and operations
* Experience with Microsoft Office and analyzing the development and improvement of technical documentation, historical records, and procedures
* Ability to work well in small groups, be team-oriented, and follow team lead supervision under direction from management
* Ability to leverage a high degree of self-motivation and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Ability to work around elevated conditions and handle up to 40lbs. of materials in a single-lift
* Ability to travel throughout the Washington Metro area
* Secret clearance required
* HS diploma or GED required
* DoD 8570 Level II Certification, including Security+ or CCNA Security

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience with long-range, mid-range and short-range surveillance systems, including Infrared (IR) and DLTV or VCS camera systems
* Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting air defense weapon systems, radars, and surveillance sensors or tactical networks
* Experience with fiber optic hardware and test equipment
* Experience with computer maintenance, including UNIX, Linux, Cisco, and Windows Network OSes
* Experience with troubleshooting and repairing RF systems, cables, and connectors and using radio encryption devices
* Experience with HVAC and intrusion detection and surveillance systems
* Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with all stakeholders effectively
* CompTIA A+/Net +, RHCNA, or Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) Certification a plus
