Summary:

This position prepares mix design submittals for the sales department, as well as being responsible for maintaining Command QC and test data required to quote projects, and is critical in maintaining Washington State, King County and City of Seattle mix requirements and material source approvals.

Responsibilities:

* Supports the QA and the Sales departments by producing all mix design submittals for proposed job bids
* Maintains master technical files, and coordinates the maintenance of mix designs, material test reports and strength data in CommandQC, and adapting mix designs to changes in materials, and downloads new weights to Command system.
* Assists sales with the technical aspects of submittals and mix selection
* Creates hard data mix designs from engineering concepts
* Technical research and data compilation in support of Sr. QC Supervisors, including maintaining and disseminating all technical, strength, and materials data.
* Coordination of special projects related to the Quality system and technical staff (i.e. maintain expiration dates and coordinate new batch plant certification inspections).
* Field support and participation in the execution of special products to ensure a useful outcome.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Command Series, and Stonemont software programs
* Understanding of the tools of Quality - statistics, standard deviations, consistency evaluations, etc.
* Strong verbal and written skills
* Concrete and aggregate products, specifications, and product application suitability
* Knowledge of NRMCA, ASTM, ICBO, ACI and public (DOT, County, City, etc.) and private specifications/guidelines
* High school graduate and 2 years relevant experience, or minimum 4 years equivalent technical experience
