The primary purpose of this role is to perform Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance. Other tasks as directed by line or Project Manager.

Open to Telework / Telecommute / Remote / work from home candidates, preferably in Central time zone

Responsibilities

* Lead engineering efforts related to automated testing - be the automation advocate
* Evaluate and recommend automation framework and tools
* Build an automated Smoke, Regression, and Integration testing framework and suite of tests
* Work within an Agile team to Identify, Create, Design, and Integrate test cases for repeatable, automated executions
* Perform manual testing activities as needed
* Testing to be covered may include unit, integration, functional, security, performance, load, scalability
* Use and maintenance of existing frameworks for Software Automation of test cases
* Development of innovative testing solutions
* Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and/or internal / external customers to ensure that requirements are understood and fully tested
* Identify and communicate risk and risk mitigation strategies
* Assist agile development teammates with issue analysis and corrective action
* Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

* Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree or relevant Technical / Business experience
* Able to work well with ambiguity and drive solutions to problems
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Have a good attention to detail and an eye for quality

Experience:

* Candidates must possess 10+ years of overall software development experience
* Experience with cloud infrastructure components, preferably AWS
* Proficient in building and maintaining automated test suites
* Proficient in database fundamentals
* Proficient in testing Java-based applications
* Familiarity with a continuous integration tool such as Jenkins
* Familiarity with scripting languages
* Familiarity with Restful Web and/or Micro Services
* Familiarity with Postgres SQL
* Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence
* Familiarity with automated browser testing using tools such as Selenium
* Familiarity with application testing (functional) as well as API testing (integration)
* Experience working in the Agile model
* Experience in the healthcare or financial domains desired
* Experience with large sets of data and data analytics desired

Travel Requirements:

* Able and willing to travel for occasional short assignments if needed.

Working Arrangements:

* Open to Telework / Telecommute / Remote / work from home candidates, preferably in Central time zone.


* Able to work Core hours, willing to be flexible in work schedule to accommodate various time zones of a global organization
* Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
