Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Enterprise Technology Strategy service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Develop ETL scripts using SSIS and job scheduler, write C# and other scripts to extract data from external sources

Develop UNIX programming and shell scripting.

Conduct performance, sizing, and optimization analysis using Microsoft performance tools.

Development of the conceptual, logical, physical data models, knowledge of star schema, tabular and multidimensional cube development

Work in a fast pace lean agile environment.

Respond to changing priorities, multiple tasks and demands within short timeframes.

Understand of model driven development and ETL best practices

Determine file organization and indexing methods for user applications under Microsoft.

Implement business rules using Microsoft procedures, functions and triggers

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field

Experience in data warehousing and BI

Knowledge of BI and Data Warehousing disciplines including Physical and Logical Database Modeling, as well as OLAP, ROLAP and MOLAP concepts

Knowledge of the Microsoft RDBMS (SSIS, SSAS, SSDT, SQL Server)

Proficient in flat file formats and file format conversions

Experience working with SQL Server and T-SQL

Knowledge of C#, shell scripting, DAX, MDX, M, Irwin and Informatica, Jira, and TFS

Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

Travel may be required.

Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.

Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
