Your journey within the Innovate Program will start as a software developer trainee at PDU Radio SW.

MAIN DESCRIPTION

* Unit Description

PDU Radios SW develops software for all Ericsson's Radio Units produced all over the world. Our software control and monitor the Radio HW with world-leading algorithms, protocols and architecture solutions. We support both current and future wireless access networks and mobile systems which will make the visions of the Networked Society and the Internet of Things (IoT) turn into reality.

* Role Description

The Ericsson Early Career Program gives you fantastic opportunity to become a future senior software developer driving decisions forming the Radio software realization. Analyzing impact of new requirements or new product families and transforming them into plans and activities executed by our cross functional teams. Good communication and presentation skills will be required to visualize and present opportunities found in the analyses. Setting clear directions by fact-based information for the software organisation.

When specializing in Radio software development, you will learn both general radio functionality as well as the Radio software realization. This requires excellent software craftmanship skills, Advanced C++ competence and preferably some more programming languages. Learning areas related to Radio application software such as the Radio platforms, different libraries, included functions and hardware functionality are important. We prefer knowledge and proven experience from concepts like object-oriented design, functional programming, concurrency handling, design patterns, embedded software requirements. Competencies like signal processing and digital radio functions are also seen as valuable knowledge together with radio system, antenna transmission, RF measurement techniques, site solutions and analog radio functions.

This position is placed in PDU Radio in the software sector in Stockholm.

* Requirements

Formal Qualifications specific to this role

* At least Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering Physics or equivalent education
* Excellent programming skills in C++ and JAVA
* Good understanding of Linux and Embedded Software development
* Basic knowledge in Radio functionality and hardware building blocks
* Basic knowledge in digital design using FPGA or ASIC
