Job Details

Summary: Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of applications and related information technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software components. This role provides consulting services regarding how to integrate information technologies into clinical and business processes and the effective application of industry and organizational technology standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Lead Tapestry system enhancements and new feature modifications.
* Responsible for Tapestry build, upgrades, quarterly updates and optimization.
* Proactive in identifying future business needs and requirements.
* Mentor and coach other Epic Analysts in problem analysis and resolution efforts.
* Coordinate and contribute effectively to the implementation of large scale IT projects.
* Communicate with IT and management staff in the evaluation and selection of prospective IT systems that support or are bolt-on to the Epic Enterprise System.
* Provides on-call support for Tapestry end users.
* Investigate complex system errors and/or failures and coordinate the resolution of these issues.
* Utilize project management skills for leading the planning, testing scripts updates, reviewing of release notes, testing workflow and build changes for quarterly updates and system upgrades.

Qualifications:

* Position requires at least 3 years of direct experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
* A BA/BS degree in IS or Business is strongly preferred.
* May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of education and/or experience stated above.
* Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
* Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills.
* Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while working under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines.
* Ability to applied judgment and make informed decisions.

Preferred Experience:

* Health plan administration experience.
* Experience with documentation, workflow design, and product configuration in a managed care organization.
* Ability to actively participate and be able to lead in all project phases including design, build, validation, implementation and optimization.
* Knowledge of technical applications and interfaces typically used in managed care environments.
* Familiarity with health plan operational workflows.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
* Previous experience with process improvement implementation.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

* Epic Tapestry Certification required within 6 months from employment, including 2 test retakes.
* ITIL Certification preferred.
