Job Description

Gelber Group's algorithmic trading group is looking to hire talented candidates interested in systematic trading. As an algorithmic trader, individuals have the opportunity to work in a fast pace environment under the guidance of the industry's brightest minds. Individuals would be responsible for researching new and existing strategies in various asset classes. This role requires the ability to clean, organize and analyze big data sets. Candidates should have experience with mathematical tools (R, Matlab, etc.) and are also expected to be capable programmers (C# or similar languages). On the job learning is essential and requires the ability to work with unfamiliar software and learning new statistical models.

Note: Job Position Start date is August 2018

Qualifications

* · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
* · Solid object oriented programming skills
* · 0-3 years of experience
* · Self-motivated
* · Excellent problem solving skills
* · Able to learn, understand, and apply new concepts quickly

Additional Desired Skills

* · Experience in a trading environment
* · Experience with financial tick data
* · Experience with back testing and optimization methods
* · Experience in C#, R and Python
