As Enterprise Architecture Lead supporting the service and application integration practice, you will manage a team of architects in the development and evangelism of IT architecture, patterns, and practices to enable Premera to exceed our business objectives. You will provide leadership, coordination, and planning for the architecture practice across application development, infrastructure, and security. Your team will grow and evolve the architecture practice at Premera.

What you'll do

* Manage and promote the evolution of the architecture practice across Premera
* Ensure the team appropriately supports both IT and the Premera organization in direction and goals while following approved standards and approaches
* Collaborate with peers and Enterprise Architects to continuously improve and modernize architecture practices
* Lead service and application integration architecture team to manage requirements, design and strategy supporting Premera direction and initiatives
* Hire and manage a team to deliver on goals that align with department and organizational objectives
* Provide consistent performance management, deliver coaching and feedback, provide recognition, and develop and train employees to grow their knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve their career goals
* Define key solution portfolios, reference architecture and best practices by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines including at times leading activities directly or by establishing and then supporting portfolio management disciplines
* Provide consultative support on business case development, RFP, and vendor negotiation activities
* Ensure architecture remains the trusted advisor both within the greater IT organization as well as the business
* Contribute to technology strategies that align with the organization's vision, mission and objectives, while anticipating change and implementing an operational plan that is flexible

What you'll bring

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or 4 years' experience in information technology
* 10 years' experience in information technology, architecture, application development, or systems development which includes 5 years in an area of specialty
* 2 years' experience leading teams and managing people is preferred
* Experience delivering secure architectures deployed in both on-prem and cloud environments
* Knowledge in application system design, development or testing in personal and client server computing environments
* Extensive experience integrating applications and services using industry standard integration practices
* Ability to model leadership and build successful teams, retain high-performing talent, and foster a positive work environment
* Ability to embrace and effectively manage rapid change in a positive manner and to lead staff through changing priorities
* A passion to develop effective relationships with your team and with individuals at all levels across the organization
