Enterprise Architect

Job Summary

Zurich North America is currently looking for an Enterprise Architect in enterprise transformation organization. EA will lead to integrate business strategy with technology to achieve business goals. EA will support prioritization of business initiatives and responsible for development of roadmaps of these initiatives, in conjunction with business and IT leaders. EA will define strategies to reduce the complexity with IT landscape by supporting large programs/projects and designing solutions to achieve business outcome. EA will be reporting to director of enterprise architecture in enterprise transformation team.

Influencer Internally Focused - The job's core deliverables rely on influencing or negotiating with a range of internal clients, usually IT leadership and senior business partners. Relationships typically involve promoting cooperation, collaboration or acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

* Take accountability of the effective execution of the architecture function across functional and technical landscape
* Take ownership to simplify integration with key systems interfacing global and local platforms
* Contribute in enterprise architecture review boards to present enterprise and solution architecture
* Monitor market trends to identify innovation opportunities and propose best of the breed solutions that bring value to the business
* Define, promote and enforce architecture frameworks, principles, standards, guidelines to both business and IT stakeholders

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area or
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area and
* IT Strategy

Preferred Qualifications

* Understanding of business acumen, business organization structure, business processes
* Insurance industry including detailed knowledge of insurance business processes
* In-depth knowledge of tools, concepts, methodologies and techniques of business process reengineering
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
* Deep experience of IT landscape, systems and technologies such as SAP, Guidewire systems, Data Lake, Cloud platforms (PaaS, SaaS and IaaS), Salesforce, Mulesoft, etc.
* Designing and developing solutions across different functional domains and technologies
* Experience with Cloud, APIs, Emerging and Digital technologies
* Understanding of data architecture, advanced analytical and big data technologies
* Applying lean startup and agile architecture methodologies
* Excellent verbal, written and group presentation skills
* Team building and conflict resolution skills
* Strong ability to resolve complex problems and issues
* Master's Degree
