The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking career-minded individuals for our Enterprise Agile Coach opportunity in Costa Mesa, CA.

The Agile Coach is responsible for transforming Feature and Component teams to become all that they can be. Transformed teams will be collaborative, empowered, multi-skilled, highly motivated, focused on quality, and actively working with other feature teams and breaking down silos. The coach is responsible for ensuring that Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Development Team Members and Line Managers understand and embrace their roles and understand why Agile and Scrum works.

Responsibilities

1) Coaches teams to be able to deliver high quality products focusing on maintaining WIP limit and continuous improvement.

2) Deep understanding of and experience with being a servant leader and proven experience with coaching other Scrum Masters on what it means to be an effective servant leader.

3) Coaches, guides, and appropriately challenges teams to deliver business value every Sprint.

4) Works with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.

5) Helps teams to gain higher levels of agile maturity with a sustainable pace of change.

6) Adept at facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.

7) Enhances internal and external communication to bring in transparency and radiate information.

8) Supports and educate Product Owners with story refinement, prioritization and maintaining the product backlog.

9) Develops an understanding of products and vision to guide teams.

10) Fosters an environment of trust so that problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged; with a focus to find problem only to solve problem.

11) Improve meetings and Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Refinement, Sprint Planning meetings and Community of Practices (CoP).

Education

* Bachelor or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM-P or PSM III).

Required Experience

* Deep understanding of Scrum theory, rules, practices, values and principles including theories around work such as Taylorism, the theories of Deming and how they apply in the context of the Auto Club and Scrum teams.
* At least 4 year's work experience as a Scrum Master.
* Experience with coaching 2 or more teams to adopt Agile/Scrum, LeSS and lean development practices, values and principles to delight customers.
* Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Experience

* Understand CI/CD.
* Passion for quality through Multi-Level Automated Testing, Test Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) and Refactoring.
* Ability to guide teams adopt Pair / Mob programming and other industry best practices.
* Experience with Jira and Confluence.
* Any Insurance, Travel, Auto industry domain knowledge.
* Certified or worked in LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) framework.
* Certifications: CSP, CSPO, Certified Agile Coach.
* Understanding of XP and Kanban.
