To achieve these goals, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to drive an engineering team of 8 Engineers and build next generation big data platform. As an Engineering Manager, you will get an opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in AWS and Big Data World.

Responsibilities

* Creative and inquisitive professional with excellent interpersonal and cross functional/divisional collaboration skills able to handle work smoothly under stress, managing multiple assignments concurrently, adjusting easily as business needs change, and acquiring necessary new working knowledge quickly.


* The ideal candidate will enjoy multi-tasking and working with a sense of urgency, and should also be flexible to quick changes in direction while maintaining a strong customer focus


* The right person for this position will demonstrate technical capabilities to support existing systems while demonstrating the independent drive to build new features


* Manage a cross functional team of Engineers, Business systems analysts and Product Owners responsible for delivering features and functionality to Marketing Stakeholders


* Own your team's technical strategy and roadmap in close collaboration with the Business Owners and Domain Architects


* Work with your team to help understand requirements, evaluate new features, new architecture and help drive decisions


* Build collaborative partnerships with software architects, technical leads and key individuals within other functional organizations.


* Build and foster a high-performance culture, mentor team members and provide your team with the tools and motivation to make things happen



Minimum Requirements

* 8 years of experience working with Engineering Team delivering either product or services for the customers


* 5 years of hands on experience of managing a team of engineers


* BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field


* Experience with Big Data Technologies like, HDFS, MapReduce, Hbase, Hive, Oozie, Spark & Cloudera manager


* Experience with Amazon Web Services (i.e. EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudFormation, Glue, Firehose etc.)


* Experience with Web Services like REST & SOAP


* Experience with Databases: Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL & DynamoDb


* Experience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies


* You understand what it takes to build and support highly scalable and reliable Big Data Platform


* Excellent communication and written skills
