The Customer Authentication team designs, implements, and supports the solutions that allow our customers to sign in (authenticate) and gain access (authorization) to the secure portions of their account on our website. To support our ambitions of providing even better experiences and solutions, we are recruiting a qualified Software Development Manager to support our team of engineers. Qualified candidates must foster an inspiring workplace where talented people feel empowered to continuously drive improvement. As a manager on our team, you will work closely with your team, Product Management, Program Management, and other engineering teams to define your team's roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead a development team through the SDLC to meet evolving customer needs
* Build, coach, and maintain a team of skilled and engaged full-stack software engineers
* Collaborate with Product, Program and other engineering teams to deliver best-in-class solutions
* Embrace the DevOps model by owning the end-to-end technology and infrastructure stack
* Analyze technology to identify and proactively pay down technical debt in key areas
* Anticipate and remove blockers that are impeding the team's success
* Ensure the application/system health, striving for minimal defects and downtime

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors in Computer Science or closely related degree
* Experience in designing and delivering web based services
* Strong experience with web authentication technologies (ex. OAuth, PKCE)
* Strong experience in operational excellence (health monitoring, operational metrics)
* Great design and problem solving skills, with strong bias for engineering excellence
* Good knowledge of software engineering practices, SDLC, build process and operations
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* 5+ years of relevant work experience
* 2+ years leading teams preferable
* Experience working in an Agile Development space
* Experience working in a DevOps environment

SKILLS

* Object Oriented Programming Language (ex. Java, C#, and/or C++)
* Cloud Platforms (ex. AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
* Database Tech (ex. SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Mongo)
* Version Control (ex. Git, TFS, etc.)
* Project Management Tools (ex. Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.)
* CI/CD (ex. Jenkins, GoCD, etc.)

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE GAINED

* Coaching and developing others
* Enterprise level influence & strategy
* Experience working in a metrics driven environment
* Continuously improving technology and process
