Description

Technical SETA support is needed to develop a comprehensive set of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to enable Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) design of Superconducting Electronics (SCE). The research will establish Standard Cell library formats and develop physics-based Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) tools to bridge collaboration between SCE foundries and integrated circuit design houses.

Duties:

* analysis of performers' technical performance, deliverables and publications


* independent review and summary of technical literature and emerging technologies


* continuous survey and summarization of relevant government, academic, and contracted research


* assistance in coordination with potential mission and transition partners


* assistance in testing and evaluation


* reviewing and summarizing BAA proposals and results reporting


* researching and managing program evaluations and plans


* support the PM's cross-community coordination with other Government agencies to reduce R&D redundancy and facilitate technology transfer


* support the PM in the Memoranda of Agreement and Memoranda of Understanding with technology transition partners


* provide assistance in drafting program briefings and other program management requirements


* provide technical support and expertise for new concepts beyond the program, including support of seedlings and other work in related areas


* advise the PM in areas including computer-aided design tools, superconducting electronics, superconducting device physics, and computer engineering and architecture


* support the PM in conducting site visits to performers, FFRDCs and Government entities providing special capabilities.


* review technical materials.


* providing technical analysis of and critiques of progress and test reports.



Qualifications

Master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering

A minimum of three (3) years of technical expertise and experience (within the past 15 years) in at least two of the following relevant:

Computer-aided design tools

Superconducting electronics

Computer design and architecture

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in design, development, and test of complex software systems within the past 1O years. Awareness and understanding of operational, communication, and information system security procedures

Must have or be able to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Desired Qualifications

PhD in one of the aforementioned degrees

3 years of experience in all 3 aforementioned relevant areas in the last 10 years

5 years of experience in experience in design, development, and test of complex software systems within the past 1O years.

One year experience in dealing with intellectual property (IP) issues in technical areas relevant to this program.
