A Day in the Life:

The Innovation Software Engineer on the Bell Innovation Team will develop leading-edge software technology integral to the creation of turn-key vertical lift experiences. The ideal candidate will be functional with multiple structural programming languages and have hands-on experience with solving, optimization and learning technologies.

Position Responsibilities

* Create software to develop new and innovative technologies related to vertical lift
* Develop sustainable solutions with leading-edge machine learning technologies
* Grasp and apply new technologies rapidly and develop reusable code modules
* Follow Agile processes and maintain focus in a high-tempo environment
* Work directly with product owners and effectively accommodate customer requirements

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree is required.
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar strongly preferred.
* 3.0 minimum overall, undergraduate GPA strongly preferred.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

* Experience implementing machine learning models for structured and unstructured data
* Experience with multiple structured programming languages (Python, Java, C#, etc.)
* Experience with evolutionary computation methods and algorithms
* Experience with developing fitness functions and fitness approximations
* Knowledge of reinforcement learning methods and technologies
* Knowledge of neural network methods and technologies
* Experience with source control & release management systems such as git/tfs
* Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure to deliver on tight deadlines
