Embedded Test Engineering Manager

Job Description

Fluke Networks is looking for an exceptionally talented and motivated Embedded Test Engineering Managerto join our team. In this role, you will manage a team of software test engineers verifying embedded software and associated software applications. Your ability to drive Innovation forward at a fast pace and respond quickly and confidently to change is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of software test engineers.
* Responsible for managing testing activities and the testing team for new and existing products and applications.
* Oversees validating that business specifications have been implemented as requested, and that existing functionality continues to perform.
* Responsible for overall coordination of test activities and test strategies and identifying quality risks regarding new and existing products.
* Participates in planning meetings and workgroups and can interact with testers, developers, business users, PMO and Project Sponsors to promote project success.
* Collaborate with product owners and developers to design, implement and maintain visible test plans, test scenarios and test cases
* Trains and develops test engineers in developing test designs, test procedures, and test plans.
* Explores new test technologies and tools.
* Drives development of test automation framework.
* Identifies and procures tools and technologies as appropriate for test designs and execution.
* Defines and tracks appropriate metrics to assess test progress and software quality.
* Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
* At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a QA.
* At least 2 years of experience as a QA lead/manager.
* Experience balancing multiple project priorities within a portfolio of initiatives, managing resources and schedule
* Experience working cross functionally with groups (Software engineers, Hardware Engineers, Project/Product Managers)
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, meeting facilitation skills, critical thinking, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills.
* Experience with writing and executing Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test scripts
* Experience validating high quality consumer facing applications on embedded communications platforms
* Good understanding of automated testing frameworks, goals, limitations and strategies.
* Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices
* Experience with networking technologies and electronic test equipment
* Familiar with software version control systems, especially GIT (local & cloud)
