Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

This role is with the System-on-Chip (SoC) Integration Group within the Internet Processor Business Unit (IPBU) located in Marlborough, MA. This BU is responsible for the multi-core ARM based embedded network, security and RF wireless (4/5G) processor products at Marvell. The SoC Integration Group performs full-chip and partition-level netlist generation, logical verification, emulation, DFT, physical design including timing and lab validation of the Octeon-TX family of devices. The position will work as part of a software team to develop Linux applications, drivers and block level tests to exercise, profile and validate our network processors both pre and post-silicon.

Responsibilities:

* Work directly with device architects and designers to optimize system architecture and programming interfaces
* Verify system-level functionality and key performance metrics in simulation/emulation environments
* Develop applications and drivers to prove system functionality and performance in post-silicon environment
* Develop infrastructure to generate, collect and analyze system telemetry
* Work directly with RTL team to analyze and debug post-silicon issues.

Requirements:

* Strong understanding of low-level hardware
* Knowledgeable in the following areas:
* Bootloaders
* Real-time processing
* Network & Storage systems
* Multi-processor environments


* Expertise in Python and C++.
* Experience with object-oriented design and implementation.
* Experience with unit-testing techniques and use of code quality tools
* Experience developing in a continuous integration environment.

Education:

* MS in CS/EE Software Engineering
* BS in CS/EE with 1+ years of experience
