Job Description

Description:This position is with the Advanced Development Programs, or Skunk Works, division of Lockheed Martin. The position requires design, development, integration and operation of software-controlled hardware instrumentation systems for purposes of performance assessment of large scale complex systems during field trials. The design of the instrumentation system is developed and beta-tested in the laboratory using object-oriented design principles. Application development is conducted via the Microsoft Visual Studio Development environment predominately using C#/C++ software languages to control a scalable architecture. The applicant will be part of a multi-discipline agile software development team working as a unit to implement and complete project objectives. Frequent travel to remote field trial locations will be as needed to complete projects.

Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a recurring US Government administered polygraph examination.

Willingness to travel 20% and work in remote and austere locations.

Basic Qualifications:

* Masters Degree in an Electrical or Computer Engineering discipline.
* College coursework familiarity with the automated control of both conventional and virtual test instrumentation.
* Cursory knowledge of MATLAB or SIMULINK dynamic simulation and analytical modeling applications.
* Familiar with object oriented programming (example: C#, C++, or Java).

Desired Skills:

* Willingness to travel and work in remote and austere locations.
* Working Knowledge of software instantiation of both linear & non-linear control theory based algorithmic processes associated with both the analog and digital.
* Familiar with the automated control of both conventional and virtual test instrumentation.
* Knowledge of MATLAB and SIMULINK dynamic simulation and modeling applications.
* Understanding of advanced mathematical digital signal processing (DSP) theoretical concepts as well as their software implementation.
* Working programming knowledge of Linux/CentOS and Real-Time operating system such as Vxworks.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with strong organizational and team collaboration skills.
