Western State Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Application Developer for our Hospital Information System. You'll serve as a software developer, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Some of what you'll do:

* Design, implement, and maintain complex applications/systems related to the Hospital Information System. Our Hospital Information System consists of Intersystem's Cache, VA VistA, FileMan, MUMPS, and Cache web related applications
* Research and analyze system issues
* Participate in technical discussions on programming solutions developed
* Provide consultation, expertise, and training to staff in various areas such as database systems management, database web connectivity, and programming best practices of VistA, MUMPS, HTML, CSS, and SQL

We are looking for an IT professional with:

Four years of information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment; directing projects; providing customer or technical support in information technology; or administering or supervising staff who performed work in any of these information technology disciplines.

Desired:

Experience supporting and maintaining InterSystem's Cache and the Veterans Administration's FileMan.
