Job Description

HWC is looking for a Drupal web developer with extensive experience in theming, site building, and updating websites using Drupal 8. This position is part of HWC's Data & Design Team.

What you will be doing

The developer will work with a team to enhance/maintain existing sites and build new features. This position will span several HWC projects and requires a self-starter willing to dig in and learn new technologies. Additionally, an ability to contribute to adjacent tasks such as IT troubleshooting and solution design across several projects would make you an ideal candidate!

Most relevant skills to this position are:

* Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and PHP
* Drupal 8 experience (theme and/or module development)
* Experience working with server-side technologies
* Relational databases (Postgres or MySQL preferred)
* Client-facing presentation ability and relationship management

Preferred skills:

* Federal government consulting experience (DHS ideal)
* Hands-on Linux proficiency
* Ability to write deployment scripts for Drupal 8 sites, using Git/GitHub, Composer, Drush, and other tools, including managing environment-specific configuration
* Knowledge of best practices and software tools for local development
* Experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps
* A portfolio of ability to demonstrate capabilities

Required qualifications:

* 3-5 years of relevant full-time experience
* US Citizenship
* Ability to obtain SECRET Clearance
* BA/BS
