Your Role and Responsibilities

For this specific job, we are looking for developers with broad-based Drupal experience with a focus on DevOps and automation. See the Key Skills section below.

We are looking for talented, ambitious and dedicated software engineers with significant expertise in cutting edge web technologies to build world-class user experience (web and mobile devices) for IBM. The work involves collaborating with the various development teams to implement the solutions that support the DevOps toolset.

You will be challenged to design and develop tooling to support large-scale systems leveraging a wide variety of open source and commercial technologies. Responsibilities Include:

* Software engineer for multi-platform web and mobile device applications
* Developing and Configuring DevOps solutions that provide testing automation, build and deployments
* Developing solutions and processes used by developers to support local development environments
* Developing web, software, mobile apps, prototypes, or proofs of concepts
* Continually grow skills to enhance your technical expertise and contribution to the team
* Be creative and efficient in solving complex and/or time-critical problems
* Utilize Agile Development, SCRUM, Kanban, or Extreme Programming methodologies

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

Experience with the following:

* Utilizing Continuous Integration/Deployment concepts and streamlined delivery of code
* PHP, MySQL and Drush
* Gherkin, Behat
* Unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
* Configuring and using Drupal 8 workflows
* Building Drupal 8 modules to connect to back-end APIs
* Building and customizing Drupal 8 templates and pages

Experience or Familiarity with:

* Travis CI, Jenkins, git, Virtual Machines (i.e. VirtualBox, Docker)
* Drupal 8 best practices
* Tuning Drupal 8 for page performance

At least 1 year experience with:

* Working in an agile development environment
* Working with the Drupal 8 content management system

At least 3 years experience:

* Critical thinking and problem solving skills in the context of software development
* Working with Drupal 7 content management system
* Software development with Javascript, HTML, CSS, and JSON

Demonstrated written and verbal communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

Experience with PHPUnit.
