THE OPPORTUNITY

Provide engineering and program management support to the Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) program office within the Digital Directorate (formally known as the Battle Management Directorate) located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

THE ROLE

* Experienced professional in requirements management


* Supporting Program, Branch and Division Level Configuration and Engineering Managers


* Organize and develop schemes, standard methodologies, and utilizing the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) tool in day-to-day functions, as well as administering the tool.


* Implement a requirements process to include analysis, process setup and improvement, change administration and tracking and offer advice to the government to include peers, management, and contractors.


* Experience with traceability analysis, assisting engineers with gathering, consolidating, prioritizing, and editing requirements modules.


* Include routine Maintenance of the DOORS database includes system and subsystem requirements.


* Experience as DOORS Systems Administrator to control user access rights, privileges, link modules, and administrator changes.


* Responsible for the tracking and traceability between incremental drops of data and ensuring that specifications are consistent, coherent, current, and at an appropriate level of completeness.


* Experience with requirements tracking ensuring requirements and data meet military standards, and are verifiable and un-ambiguous.


* Participate in incremental audits to assist engineers in analyzing all requirements for conformance to the Government requirements.


* Work closely with Chief Engineers and Configuration Management, for traceability reporting, tracking metrics, and prospective risk reports to management, as well as producing customized reports to support management needs.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with the following skill set:

* Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline and a minimum of 5 years work experience, with experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desirable.


* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an IPT environment and with internal and external clients


* Possession of excellent social skills through oral and written communication skills


* Ability to obtain and maintain an active US security clearance.
