Job Description Summary:

The position is responsible for establishing the standards, best practices, and architecture for the technology platforms across disciplines within a range of expertise by maintaining expertise within his/her background discipline while gaining broad knowledge of other Engineering and Technology disciplines.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: Communicates with technical experts within Engineering and Technology to lend expertise to complex issues. Mentors Experts within technical disciplines to encourage broader scope of analysis and acquisition of new knowledge. Develops and champions road maps to senior leadership for the adoption of new tools, technologies, and process, including the retirement of obsolete tools, technologies, and processes. Participates in high-level design and review sessions across Engineering and Technology disciplines. Researches, develops, and approves the use of new tools, technologies, and process within the department to ensure enterprise longevity. Defines the platform architecture standards documentation for consumption by infrastructure, engineering, and applications. Actively participates in the Architecture Review Board to push the Engineering and Technology architecture forward. Ensures the adoption of architecture standards and directions set by the Architect Review Board within the areas of influence for the Expert Architect by documenting, coordinating communication of, and presenting the Architecture to management, leadership, and the individual contributors within the department. Defines, documents, and provides reference implementations of technology architecture for other teams to follow.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Management, Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 10 years of experience in one or more Engineering, Technology or Technology Architecture. Professional Certifications related to an Engineering and Technology field.
