POSITION SUMMARY:

The Document Imaging Specialist position is primarily focused on the scanning and proper assignment of incoming documents that are received by mail, fax or email. This individual must be diligent with attention to detail, organized and possess strong analytical and data entry skills. The ideal candidate will have previous knowledge of document scanning, document management, and standard imaging guidelines to ensure documents are properly imaged, stored and routed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Review and research documents for completeness
* Scan documents and verify quality of digital images
* Input key metadata fields within imaging system
* Assign documents to the proper internal department
* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Associate Degree in Office Administration or certification in document management or imaging programs preferred
* 1-3 years of prior document scanning experience preferred
* Detail-oriented, organized and dependable
* Ability to type, enter data and perform other duties quickly and accurately
* Work independently and be proactive seeking additional work when time allows
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word and Outlook)
* Be proactive and analytical, able to problem-solve and propose resolutions
* Ability to meet established department service levels
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
* Proven ability to multi task and prioritize multiple tasks
* Ability to maintain the highest quality of service
* Candidate must be a team player and possess a positive attitude

PREFERRED SKILLS:

* Previous experience with document imaging system or content management system (i.e. Laserfiche)
* Previous experience with scanning equipment

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to work occasional overtime as needed
