Distinguished DevOps Architect

We are looking for a Distinguished DevOps Architect to drive advanced engineering automation tools and DevOps practices for the Card and Small Business Technology organization as we drive to disrupt the Banking industry with leading edge, autonomous, in person, digital experiences that facilitate what our customers want to do, and delight them along the way.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing strategy, leading and mentoring an extremely talented Engineering team to help deliver game changing capabilities to over 500 engineering teams enabling them to reach the highest levels of productivity and engineering excellence. You will build solutions for our enterprise CI/CD platforms leveraging automation tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible along with public cloud, containerization and micro services solutions and help raise the talent bar by recruiting and hiring top engineering talent. Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or military experience


* At least 5 years' experience with object-oriented programming, functional programming, and data design


* At least 5 years' experience in developing scalable applications consistent with architectural standards


* At least 3 years' experience with Cloud technologies


* At least 3 years' experience driving a DevOps culture and building CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Sonar



Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree in Computer Science or in an Engineering discipline


* Experience in agile development practices & methodologies such as Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)


* AWS Certified Solution Architect and at least 2 years of experience with cloud computing


* Experience implementing resilient cloud applications and platform services on public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)


* Experience with micro-services architecture, cloud native architecture and 12 factor application architecture principles and implementation


* Experience with Digital and Mobile Technologies (iOS and Android)


* Experience in containerizing application to deploy and run in containers, container-as-a-service (preferably with Kubernetes), PaaS, immutable infrastructure, and enabling blue-green deployments


* Experience in reactive, real-time streaming and event-driven architectures such as Event Sourcing & CQRS and use of platforms like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Akka/Lagom


* Exposure to modern data and analytical platform architectures and use of Apache Spark, AI and Machine Learning
