The Job

The Director of Technical and Physical Security is responsible for the development of an efficient and safe operation of the organization's physical security operations which includes fire, life & safety.

In addition, the incumbent will manage the development and implementation of electronic security systems control operational procedures, conveying and verifying security requirements. Identifies and recommends electronic security systems equipment designed to detect unauthorized entry into facilities or property.

The Daily

* Responsible for supporting the events planned at Hudson Yards and other locations as requested/required
* Responsible for recommending security procedures regarding security call centers, operations centers, domains, asset classification systems, electronic security system acquisition, electronic security system development, electronic security system maintenance, program models, and reporting tools
* Monitor security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable corporate security requirements, policies, and directives
* Conduct physical security assessments of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulation
* Collect and analyze security data to determine security needs, security program goals, or program accomplishments
* Directs personnel responsible for electronic security systems, evaluates performance, and develops process and procedures to minimize risks
* Responsible for program management in providing design and implementation input for electronic security systems at Hudson Yards and other business unit locations
* Acts as liaison to field operations and Warner Media Real Estate in the areas of design and implementation of electronic security systems
* Responsible for all the related billing invoices for the resources required for electronic security systems and fire life safety
* Responsible for the development of an efficient and safe operation of the organization's physical security operations
* Monitors and directs Emergency Response operational plans and related activities as required
* Manages the loss prevention and detection services and enforces administrative procedures
* Coordinates and records all electronic security system maintenance to include preventative and corrective measures
* Maintains records as required by law and performs inspections as required by law
* Oversight and maintenance of the emergency notifications systems (Panic alarm system and Riot switch program)
* Liaison and maintenance of relationships with base building Security Management entities for technical issues
* Oversight for the security communications program
* Oversight for the operations and maintenance for all electronic security systems to include mechanical locks
* Operations and maintenance oversight of the Hudson Yards Safe Mail program

The Essentials

* 10+ years of experience in electronic security systems integration and maintenance
* 10+ years of leading and managing personnel to include third party contractors
* 10-15 years of security support in the public and/or private sector
* 5+ years' experience with law enforcement
* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience Preferred
* Requirements Program Management
* Strong working knowledge of integrated electronic security systems technology and operations is required
* Working knowledge of the facility construction (e.g., location of all fire suppression equipment, stairways, elevator, HVAC, and mechanical systems operation)
* The ability to read and understand blue prints and AutoCAD drawings, thorough knowledge of fire suppression equipment in the operations space which includes "high rise" applications and demonstrate proficiency in the operation of the Fire Command Station and intercom system(s) Certifications/licensees in Fire Safety Director (FSD) Emergency Action Plan Director (EAPD)
* Certified Protection Professional (ASIS certification)
* Physical Security Professional Preferred (ASIS certification)
* Program Management Professional - Project Management Institute (PMI)
