Job Description

As a member of the Global IT Leadership team, the Director, Data & Analytics is responsible for the overall architecture, design, development, and maintenance of data and analytics technical solutions across BeiGene. This role will provide hands-on leadership for design and development of Enterprise Data warehouse, Reporting and Analytics solutions. This individual will be involved in all aspects of project life cycle working closely with third party suppliers and implementation partners in addition to providing project management.

The successful candidate will partner with BeiGene internal customers and business partners to translate data requirements into technical specifications and provide oversight to the design and delivery of functional and technical components of MDM, data integration and analytics solutions including solution architecture. This individual will also provide third level support and ensure technical issues related to MDM and analytics are addressed on-time.

This role is the primary point of contact for any data related issues, maintenance, enhancement requests and accountable for on-time delivery for data and analytics solutions.

Essential Functions of the job:

* Develop and execute on technology roadmap related to enterprise data warehouse, data lake and data marts requirements in partnership with key business partners and downstream consumers
* Manage design, development and implementation of MDM (eg Customer Master, Clinical Data Warehouse), Data integration & analytics solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, AWS/Azure RDS & relevant cloud database tools, Vertica, Power BI & Tableau
* Ensure data definitions are aligned across different business functions and across different IT applications and develop data governance processes
* Centralize and streamline integration across different SaaS and enterprise applications leveraging enterprise integration platforms tools.
* Validate requirements for data matching and merging rules, survivorship criteria and data stewardship workflows in master data management solutions
* Collaborate with business teams at BeiGene to ensure alignment and delivery of data & analytics solutions
* Work with internal teams and vendor partners to integrate new data sources to DW to be able to integrate with external/internal applications
* Coordinate with other technical staff and contractors to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
* Ensure data warehouse components including hardware, database management systems, ETL software and metadata management tools implementation follow the standards and best practices
* Coordinate testing, including end-user reviews for modified/new systems and provide post-implementation support.
* Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems

Skills/Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent level of education and experience
* 5+ years of direct experience in Master Data Management, Datawarehouse design, development, support and operations Microsoft SQL Server and/or Vertica
* Minimum 3 years of experience in database, ETL development, support and operations with emphasis on data quality, aggregation and distribution
* Experience with enterprise level data analysis, integration work and/or providing data focused systems integration solutions
* Expert level understanding of data architecture, integration tools and technology
* Experience working with healthcare and life sciences datasets such as specialty pharmacy SP, Specialty distributor SD, 3PL, IMS, Symphony, Claims
* Excellent experience and understanding of data architecture options such as enterprise data warehouse, data federation, hub and spoke architectures, independent datamarts, data integration tools and techniques, including ETL (Extract Transform Load) and CDC (Change Data Capture)
* Experience with analytic tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx or similar
* Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (preferred)
* Knowledge of Sunshine Act and aggregate spend systems (preferred)
* Exceptional project and time management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working in a regulated environment such as GxP, SOX
* Ability to work in a small, fast-paced IT environment.
* Good understanding of SDLC and project methodology such as waterfall and agile
* Highly motivated with the ability to drive results

Education Required:
