Job Description

Forbes is looking for a Designer to join the Digital team in our Jersey City, NJ, office. The position, reporting into the Design Director, will work across the company with various stakeholders to develop and maintain the visual aesthetic for Forbes.com. This individual will need to be able to translate editorial and business requirements and stakeholder needs into designs that are on-brand, visually compelling and easy to use.

Responsibilities include:

* Hands-on production and organizing of visual editorial projects from start to publish
* Plan, design and produce editorial infographics. This can include simple static images to complex motion graphics to interactive content
* Design editorial projects, websites, emails, and other digital content.
* Provide design assistance on digital products
* Interpret design direction and implement it on the product level.
* The ability to work under tight deadlines, pressure, and on multiple projects at once
* Work with creative team to archive projects to produce and file digital assets/organize accordingly
* A minimum of 5 years digital design and front end development experience
* Solid news judgement and editorial sensibilities
* Strong abilities with Sketch, Adobe CS and prototyping tools
* Experience with capabilities and limitations of web technologies including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
* Excellent communication, organizational, verbal, and written skills.
* College degree or equivalent experience
* Team player with all-hands-on-deck attitude and an entrepreneurial mind-set
* Strong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, images, and interactivity impact product design.
* Online portfolio required

Ideal candidate will possess:

* A minimum of 5 years digital design and front end development experience
