Responsibilities

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Content Coordinator in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas.

In this role, you will provide web content support for our Professional Heart Daily website (the premier website for cardiovascular and stroke professionals) and our Science News, which is an email newsletter aimed at the same audience.

* This is a temporary assignment that is scheduled to last approx. 3 months.*

Essential Job Duties:

* Use the AHA's Web Content Management System (WCMS) to handle requests for website updates.
* Review reports (from Siteimprove) and implement recommended solutions/actions for accessibility and quality assurance errors as well as SEO improvements.
* Assist with work on the Science News newsletter or social media posts.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must enjoy working on website pages.

* Relevant education (Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study preferred).
* Minimum of one (1) year of hands on experience working with content management systems (Oracle and Sitecore preferred) to produce and manage online content for desktop and mobile.
* Familiar with website accessibility standards and practices, HTML basics, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and tools.
* General technical aptitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
