MORI Associates is seeking hands-on DevOps Systems Administrator to help manage the functionality and efficiency of computer systems running on Linux and/or Windows operating systems. Will support infrastructure, projects and instrument teams with hardware, operating systems, virtual platforms, and applications.

Requirements

* Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, and IT security concepts.
* Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure: compute, network, storage, database, etc.
* Experience automating routine tasks using Python, PowerShell, or other language in a proper SDLC
* Familiarity with virtualization (AWS and VMWare preferred)
* Familiarity with Configuration Management Systems (Salt, Puppet, Rundeck, etc.), and writing Infrastructure as Code
* Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues

Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator will have the following responsibilities:

* Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
* Deploy and maintain physical and virtual servers
* Ensure optimal hardware and software operation
* Harden computer systems consistent with security practices and established guidelines
* Troubleshoot and resolve files service issues with Network File Service and storage with NetApp
* Automate repetitive manual tasks with scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
* Resolve incidents quickly and identify root causes for long term fixes

To qualify for this opportunity you should have relevant BS degree and 3-8 years of systems administration experience; years of experience may be substituted for BS degree.

This individual must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, exhibit a strong work ethic, have excellent written and verbal skills, time management, organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
