Job Description

Seeking a DevOps I engineer to join the team managing health clinic accounts, applications, and infrastructure in our development, test, and production environments.

You will be responsible for configuring, managing, supporting, and troubleshooting our development and production infrastructure and applications with the goals of improving efficiency while ensuring operational and security best practices are supported. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can act independently, thrives in the constructive chaos of a start-up, and is passionate about improving the lives of patients and doctors alike.

What You'll Do…

* Provide accurate, timely, and awesome support to your customers ("users") of the systems we manage and support
* Infrastructure and application configuration, documentation, support, and troubleshooting
* Account management across a broad range of systems (including adds, edits, removes, and ongoing audits)
* Troubleshoot and resolve account access and application configuration issues
* Exhibits excellent communication skills and customer-centric service
* Identify, through experience and data, opportunities to improve workflow, architecture, and automation. Use these insights to continuously improve our systems.
* Use tools, such as monitors, logs, and reporting dashboards to maintain and troubleshoot the applications and infrastructure
* Participate as an enthusiastic member of our team, working to anticipate challenges before they surface as well as quickly solving critical problems as they arise
* Demonstrated background in computer operations and troubleshooting. Ability to deal with technical problems and interact with employees and clients. Knowledge of various operating systems (Linux, MacOS, Windows), online productivity tools (Google gSuite, Office365, etc.), mobile device operation and configuration (iOS and Android)

What You've Done…

* 2+ years experience working in a dynamic, customer-centric, application support role
* 2+ years experience with Enterprise IT SaaS, systems, and account management
* 1+ year experience with the Ruby syntax (or similar object oriented scripting languages)
* 1+ year using Git (or similar distributed revision control systems)
* 1+ year working on Linux-based systems (command line, configuration, and networking)
* 1+ year working with SQL queries from an admin's perspective. MySQL preferred.
* Gained familiarity with AWS/Azure or similar IaaS services and management tools
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
* Acquired excellent self-organization skills and techniques

Bonus Points For…

* Experience working with or on DevOps teams
* Experience writing and deploying shell scripts (e.g., Bash)
* Experience with the info security practices of HIPAA/HITECH compliant infrastructure
* Exposure to deployment, configuration, and administration of Nginx or similar tools
* Exposure to container operations using tools like Docker
* Exposure to aggregated logging tools (e.g., Sumologic, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
* Exposure to "infrastructure as code" or similar automation tools (terraform, ansible, etc.)
