United Technologies Corp. (UTC; NYSC: UTX), headquartered in Farmington, Connecticut, is a global leader in aerospace and building technologies. Our aerospace businesses - Collins Aerospace Systems and Pratt & Whitney - are redefining the future of flight with next-generation aircraft engines and integrated systems and components. Our commercial businesses - Carrier and Otis - are pioneering intelligent building solutions and services that enable people to live and work in more modern, safe, secure and sustainable environments. We are a company of 240,000 people, founded by some of the world's greatest inventors and committed to tackling some of society's biggest challenges.

United Technologies Corporation was founded by some of the world's greatest inventors. We helped build the Second Industrial Revolution and brought about a century of urbanization and globalization. Now we need your help to build the next one.

Tech@UTC is the UTC technology organization, comprised of the global engineering function, several focused centers of expertise, our skunkworks organization - United Technologies Advanced Projects (UTAP), and our advanced Research & Development lab - United Technologies Research Center (UTRC). By combining a passion for science with precision engineering, we create smart, sustainable solutions that prove we can do the big things the right way. We put the "T" in UTC.

The newly-created Model-Based Digital Thread Center of Expertise (DTCOE) aims to demonstrate 2X or more acceleration in product development and production ramp timelines by deploying an end-to-end digital model thread through all phases of design, manufacturing, and in-service operation of the most complex UTC products.

The DTCOE is a three-year initiative to develop and demonstrate a fully digital product design, manufacturing, and in-service support approach. The team will develop a toolchain that supports digital continuity across different levels of model fidelity, different physics domains, and different levels of abstraction, such that the product, the manufacturing system, and the operating environment are represented. Such a toolchain will support an agile design flow for product development, the co-design and co-optimization of the product and manufacturing environment, and improved analytics of in-service product data. Within the three year timeframe, the DTCOE will apply this toolchain and methodology to a complex UTC product such as a small jet engine to demonstrate scalability, quantify value, and prepare for enterprise-wide industrialization.

As the DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for leading the definition, maintenance and improvement of the automation tools, processes, procedures and infrastructures for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines) for the DTCOE toolchain. The toolchain will integrate a variety of commercially-available and in-house developed tools. You will be responsible for the timely release and deployment of the toolchain integration framework that supports a fully model-based aerospace and commercial product design process.

You will be faced with solving myriad of technical challenges while developing the DevOps infrastructure and delivering the toolchain in collaboration with an agile team of ambitious, world-class experts tackling a truly pioneering capability.

Key job responsibilities:

* Experience on tool architecture definition, prototype implementation, tool integration and automation solutions
* Knowledge of one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) with preference on Azure DevOps
* Understanding of commercial PLM/ALM and MES/MOMS solutions is a plus

Education & experience:

* Master's degree in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or substantially related field with 3+ years experience or
