Job Description

Automation developer focusing on architecting new solutions, modernizing existing solutions, and improving security practices along the way. Always looking into new ways to improve legacy systems, this job strives to evolve the legacy platform into the modern era. The other half of the job requires support and administration but making sure that bugs/issues are not simply fixed but solved intelligently. If an issue can be automated and passed down to a lower support tier, this engineer will help design and implement that solution.

Essential Functions:

* Automating infrastructure
* Designing scalable solutions
* Supporting existing systems and automating root cause solutions
* Improving security
* Administrating key services (GitHub, etc.)

Other Functions:

* Performs other functions as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Advanced expertise in Ansible, AWS, Python, Security (key and identity management), Linux and Windows
* Architecting highly-available and scalable infrastructure (configuration management)

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

* Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
* Ability to communicate and exchange information
* Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data
* Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)
* Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
* May be required to work extended hours and be on-call for special business needs
* May be required to travel at least 20% of time based on business needs

Certifications: (Required/Desired)

* AWS (desired)

Minimum Education:

* Bachelor's degree required

Minimum Related Work Experience:

* 2-4 years total engineering (software, architecture, etc.)
