DevOps Engineer
Summary
DevOps Engineer will further automate and enhance our deployments, CI, and general tooling as part of our SaaS cloud-based offering. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for running the fleet of servers, both on-premises and in the cloud, in the US, UK and Singapore. Our DevOps process includes the automation (via NodeJS, PowerShell, and MSBuild) of core development life-cycle tools such as Git, Jenkins, Web Deploy, Visual Studio, IIS, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and SQL Server to make sure that everything is reliable, scalable, and repeatable.
Essential Functions
Working with our existing DevOps team and with lead engineers, the DevOps Engineer is responsible for automation, proactive monitoring, and generally making sure everything is as slick as we can make it. Other duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge, skills and abilities and Other (KSAO's)
A successful DevOps Engineer candidate must have the following experience or skills:
* Provisioning and automating resources in public cloud providers (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure)
* Managing and working with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, AppVeyor, TravisCI, or equivalent Jenkins is ideal)
* Administering machines and services on the Microsoft stack (Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server)
* Distributed Version Source Control systems (GitHub, GitLab, or equivalent)
* Automation scripting using NodeJS, PowerShell, NuGet, Chocolatey, MSBuild, Groovy, Bash, etc. (CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Docker, and Kubernetes are all a bonus)
* Application monitoring (Stackify, NewRelic, PingDom, PagerDuty, etc.)
* Working knowledge of .NET Framework and developing in C#
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attitude
* High standards for code quality and testing
* Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
* Interpersonal and communication skills
Supervisory responsibilities
The DevOps Engineer will have no supervisory responsibilities, but must function well within project teams, working with Product Managers, tech leads, and other team members.
Minimum qualifications and requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
* 5 years of related experience
* Experience with C#, JavaScript or QA automation tools (such as Selenium, Postman, or TestComplete) to help make our automated testing even better is a plus.
