Pazien, a wholly owned subsidiary of Worldpay is seeking a DevOps/AWS Engineer to join our team. We are building a payments reporting and analytics platform focused on simplification and data transparency. Our office environment is highly collaborative; we work together as a team to understand customer needs and to deliver an outstanding product.

The Day-to-Day

Responsibilities:

* Drive scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructure
* Assist in the design, planning and implementation of server solutions to drive production operational efficiency, performance, and security
* Own production systems scaling, throughput & monitoring
* Own/Manage/Support baseline Operating System image/templates
* Support CI/CD by driving, coordinating and automating the production build/release process
* Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment.
* Provide coordinated support to developers, operations staff, system engineers, release engineers, and end-users
* Educate and mentor team members and operational staff on developed and designed process

Qualifications:

* Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Preferred skills:

* Linux Operating System (Ubuntu)
* Understanding and experience with low-latency, high-performance environments
* Horizontal and vertical scaling for performance and high availability
* Advanced Linux administration, monitoring, and engineering
* Advanced Linux kernel and network tuning


* AWS (EC2, CloudFormation, VPC, Route53, EBS, SES)
* Experience in PCI Security Standards
* The ability to review and build automation and configuration management
* Advanced scripting (any combination of Perl, Ruby, Bourne, Python, and others)
* Automation tools to support CI/CD (Ansible, Jenkins, Github, etc..)
* Top-tier analytics and problem solving
* Project Management, organization, and time management
