In the scope of the Shared Data Layer testing (SDL), you will have to implement light tools to speed-up SDL monitoring feed-back.
Those tools will be extension package to an existing solution based on the standard ELK framework (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
* SDL Alarm activity monitoring.
The aim of this tool is to monitor the flow of alarms raised/cleared to detect abnormal alarm activities.
For that purpose, you will have to :
* Implement a proxy server in charge of catching SNMP trap and listing active alarms regularly. * Design an efficient Kibana Dashboard to follow-up this alarm activity according to several point of view : * Monitor number of alarm Raised/Cleared per period (1 min) (filtering on alarm severity, target, …) * Monitor number of active alarms (filtering on alarm severity, target, …) * Implement Alert Raising with automatic mail sent in case of threshold overpassed * SDL Core Files monitoring
The aim of this tool is to detect and monitor the number of core files on the platform.
For that purpose, you will have to :
* Implement a proxy server in charge of pooling regularly the different VM (virtual machine), looking for core files * Design a Kibana Dashboard to follow-up number of Core files (filtering on target, …) * Implement Alert Raising with automatic mail sent * SDL Log Files monitoring
The aim of this tool is to monitor the number of warning and error messages in SDL logs files.
For that purpose, you will have to :
* Implement a proxy server in charge of pooling regularly the different VM (virtual machine), looking for those metrics * Design a Kibana Dashboard to follow-up number of messages * Implement Alert Raising with automatic mail sent in case of threshold overpassed
