JOB TITLE: Developer Manager

LOCATION: Irving, TX

DUTIES:

o Manage a team of Developer Analysts and Business Analysts responsible for application development and production support;

o Manage multiple IT applications on distributed and mainframe platforms, and provide ownership responsibility for one or more applications;

o Provide guidance to the team of developer/analysts in the full development life cycle of business software;

o Manage large scale and cross platform projects including cost/benefit analysis to determine if projects should proceed;

o Lead and manage the application technical design, development, testing, and maintenance using DB2, Mainframes z/OS, Distributed Systems, COBOL, PL/I, JCL, CICS, VSAM, SQL, stored procedures, and other mainframes utilities;

o Coordinate application teams consisting of business users, business systems analysts, developers, QA staff, DBAs, system administrators as necessary during the application development process;

o Interface with business users to gather business requirements and provide technical guidance to business systems analysts in shaping the business requirements into technical specifications;

o Provide status and project reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to leadership team; research and recommend new tools and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

o Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field followed by 7 years of progressive experience in applications software design, development, maintenance and delivery using DB2, Mainframe z/OS, Distributed Systems, COBOL, PL/I, JCL, CICS, VSAM, SQL, stored procedures, and mainframe utilities.

o Experience therein to include 5 years with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word, and Visio.
