We are seeking a talented individual for a Developer Manager who provides guidance and supervision to teams of Developer/Analysts in the full development life cycle of business software including design, development, unit/load testing, deployment and maintenance of a software system and implementation of business software for the enterprise.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Manages multiple teams of developers including performance management.
* Provides ownership responsibility for multiple application areas.
* Interfaces with business users to gather business requirements.
* Provides technical guidance to business systems analysts in shaping the business requirements into technical specifications.
* Provides design and programming guidance to developers.
* Researches and recommends new tools and technologies.
* Coordinates application teams consisting of business users, business systems analysts, developers, QA staff, DBAs, system administrators as necessary during the application development process.
* Provides ownership responsibility for one or more applications.
* Provides updates and status reports to leadership.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

* Performs other functions as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Visio.
* Ability to demonstrate proficiency in required programming languages including SQL.
* Ability to demonstrate beginner level understanding of Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
* Ability to be careful and thorough with detail.
* Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
* Ability to lead a team.
* Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work related issues and problems.
* Ability to present to a group.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

* Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
* Ability to communicate and exchange information
* Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data
* Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)
* Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
* May be required to work extended hours for special business needs
* May be required to travel at least 40% of time based on business needs; at times on short notice

Minimum Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline required

Minimum Related Work Experience:

* 7 years experience in managing application design, software development, maintenance and delivery
