Overview

"This is a DevOps development position. Not a force.com and not a pure administer position. Candidates should be capable of development of tools, scripts for deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, support, reporting of complex software/server/HW solutions."A Developer is responsible for designing and implementing critical customer facing solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable, leveraging proprietary and 3rd party solutions within Cloud, on-premise virtual environments. This person will be working in a highly agile environment with a focus on iterative and test-driven design methods and requires a self-motivated, driven individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for developing in Visualforce, Apex, D/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOJO, AJAX, and other technologies. Strong understanding of relational databases and has developed a competency around MS SQL Server, MYSQL, or Oracle. Strong comprehension of deploying, maintaining and operating solutions within Azure, AWS, GCP, On-premise environments involving complex networking, security, proxy connectivity. Direct and indirect customer interaction is mandatory and will involve detailed requirement and existing customer system/solution discovery, architecture of Zebra solutions into customer environment, identification of components/solutions/architecture gaps. Translation of gaps into viable solution architectures and implementations.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:• Deliver architectural initiatives that contribute to Zebra's revenue programs• Participate with research and implementation for architectural changes, determine feasibility, and vet out total building and buying software solutions• Establishing code for proof-of-concept software implementations• Document current and future state architectures including high level diagrams, logical system views, and data interactions• Adhering to privacy and security compliance in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII, PCI)• Developing and communicating new technology standards and best practices to multiple development teams• Architecting, designing, building, and managing software capabilities for our global high performance infrastructure• Developing and contributing as part of a team to talented engineers building the next generation of cloud-based and enterprise data solutions

Qualifications

* U.S. Only:
* Bachelor's or Masters degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required.
* Work Experience (years): Bachelors degree and 5+ years experience or Masters degree and 3+ years of engineering experience.

DevOps - Deployment, Tools, DR, HA, Server, etc.• Solid understanding of Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, PHP• Sound knowledge of DB systems, such as, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mariah, Mongo

* Advanced Reporting, Monitoring and assessment (platform through applications layers)• Public/Private Cloud Virtualized Infrastructure experience - AWS,Azure,VMware, GCP• Deep understanding of clustering in VMware (e.g. ESXi)• Working knowledge/implementation for Authentication (e.g., Oauth, SAML), SSO, AD/ADFS
* Working knowledge DRS in vmware, Azure, AWS• Working knowledge of container technology• Strong DevOps automation• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef , Jenkins, Ansible• Work with MEAN and LAMP stack.• Working knowledge of Security principles (Server, Applications, end-to-end)
* Building and managing Linux servers (Centos, Ubuntu) both standalone and clustered• Architecting/implementing complex, highly scalable client/server solutions
* Understanding of Network Infrastructure such as Firewall , router, HA Proxy, switches , wireless• Enterprise grade network monitoring as Monit, OpenNMS, Nagios• Web Front End experience a plus
* Familiarity with IP Telephony, VoIP, Dispatch (IP and traditional) a Plus
