Your Role

The Design Technology Lead is a multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space to our offices and projects teams within the supported region. You will provide Studio/s with experience in using advanced digital tools with the intent of enabling studio practice professionals to become agents of change, knowledgeable of existing parametric systems, and capable of developing relational tools for the creation of design ideation, digital prototyping, and production.

What You Will Do

* Identify and develop training programs to prepare professionals for advance design research and execution including digital fabrication, parametric design, Building Information Modeling/Management (BIM), scripting, and performance analysis
* Lead studio efforts in developing/ maintaining strategy plans for implementing technologies utilized by the firm
* Co-drive a brand that cultivate technology-driven mindset able to assess the strengths and limitations of logical and procedural systems within the design and production process
* Support technology-driven parametric/computational methods to design within the context of ecological data, performance criteria to contextual factors.
* Expose studio practice to additional software applications and methods within computational architectural practice
* Establish a process for reading, understanding and creating architectural production through reverse engineering, fabrication, and construction
* Develop a performance evaluation framework for measuring progress, and strengthening relationships with studio, office, regional and firm-wide leadership by improving communication and transparency



Your Qualifications

* 4+ years of experience in Design Technology Management
* 10+ years of professional experience
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
* Understanding of computational design for architectural case studies, advance use and implementation management of Revit and Graphical Scripting Interfaces such as Dynamo and Grasshopper for architectural production
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary Architecture or industry related domain is considered a strong asset
* Expert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice and development for Autodesk Revit, Sketch-up and Navisworks
* Expert in implementing and supporting design collaboration platforms such as design authoring tools in a virtual environment, Panzura collaboration, C4R and AEC cloud-based products (BIM 360, Field, Docs, and NewForma)
* Articulate communicator with strong story-telling ability to push new innovative concepts and ideas in a highly creative culture
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building
