About the Role

Visual Design Leads at Hero Digital are senior members of the design team and an exciting mix of maker and leader who champion innovative conceptual solutions that beautifully exceed expectations on business goals.

This role is a great fit for you if over the last 5-10 years you have developed mad design skills and can make the latest design tools dance. But you have experience in front of clients and teams and are building your leadership skills. If you love to mentor other designers, work closely and collaboratively with engineers and strategists in a fun, fast paced agency environment you could be just the talent we're hoping to add to our heroic effort to create world-class digital experiences.

Who You Ae

Design : ~75% of your time and energy will typically be with sleeves rolled up and you'll need:

* 7-10 years professional experience designing responsive websites and/or apps.
* Ability to lead and contribute to multiple projects.
* A portfolio that demonstrates your contributions to clean, effective and innovative visual design systems across devices.
* Expert knowledge of UI, UX, and web standards and tools (Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite and Keynote).
* Branding and motion design experience is a big plus.
* Have worked with atomic and component-based design systems for enterprise CMS application (e.g. AEM and Sitecore)
* An eye for trends in B2B, B2C and B2E marketing.
* Understanding of digital product design principles, including mobile standards, systems design, and agile development methodologies.

Leadership: ~25% of your time and energy will be focused on mentoring and leading people and projects for which you'll need your design skills and:

* At least 2 years experience in a client-facing lead role at an agency.
* A passion for design trends coupled with an open mind and appreciation for the variation in creative talent.
* You play nice with others and think Divas are lame.
* You calmly tackle challenges but thrive on the energy of the team and enjoy being in the office.
* Have the ability to work well cross-functionally with time and budget constraints.
* Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* You are curious and eager to try new tools like Marvel, Framer, Figma, Principal, Hype and whatever comes next.
* You leveraged your intellect and solid work ethic to earn a degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or other relevant field of study.
* You have a US Work Permit.
